About the Role
As a Plumbing Apprentice, your daily tasks will involve working closely with experienced plumbers on a variety of residential and commercial projects. You will gain practical experience in the installation and repair of plumbing fixtures, valves, and different types of piping materials, including metal, PVC, and PEX. You will develop your ability to interpret blueprints to understand and implement pipe system layouts for both new installations and repairs. Additionally, you will learn to utilize specialized equipment such as drain snakes and camera systems to diagnose and resolve drain issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with experienced plumbers on residential and commercial projects
- Install and repair plumbing fixtures, valves, and various piping materials (metal, PVC, PEX)
- Interpret blueprints and implement pipe system layouts for new installations and repairs
- Operate specialized equipment such as drain snakes and camera systems
- Diagnose and resolve drain and plumbing issues
- Respond to emergency on-call situations as needed
- Maintain safety standards and follow Universal Plumbing Codes (UPC)
Qualifications
- Idaho plumber apprentice card or Washington plumber trainee card
- Knowledge about current Universal Plumbing Codes (UPC)
- Familiarity with all relevant techniques and tools
- Ability to respond to emergency on-call situations
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position
